“My Wrath” – E.J. Chald

I leave behind my wrath
Like a lizard leaves his tail.
My wrath is left behind me
In a death-inducing trail.
My wrath, forever vengeful;
My wrath, forever spry.
Although my bones may turn to dust
My wrath will never die.
They stripped me of my dignity;
They stripped me of my pride.
And in return I leave my wrath:
A human pesticide.
My wrath in indiscriminate;
My wrath is deaf and blind.
A pox upon this galaxy!
A pox upon mankind!
My spirit has been vanquished,
And my mind is misaligned.
Let nothing in this world escape
The wrath I’ve left behind.
